Anni Lindenberg has been hooked on VISIONS since her first summer in 2004 as a staffer in the Dominican Republic. After staffing other VISIONS programs in Montana and Costa Rica, Anni is more than ready to take the helm of VISIONS Ecuador. She grew up in Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Boston and Atlanta. She graduated from Whitman College in the onion capital of the world, Walla Walla, WA, and studied abroad at the U. of Costa Rica, San Pedro. Upon graduating, Anni spent a year teaching English in Chile and later traveled throughout South America. As Anni has written: "Having lived in Latin America and traveled throughout the world including New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Egypt, Argentina, and Chile, I have gained insight into the person I am and the person that I want to become."
After several years living abroad, Anni moved to San Francisco where she enrolled in UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Education and became part of the Multicultural Urban Secondary English Education cohort, earning her teaching credential and a Masters Degree. Currently, Anni teaches high school English in San Francisco. Anni feels lucky to have found VISIONS, which gives her the opportunity to continue traveling, exploring, meeting new people, and doing work that she loves. When not at work, Anni can be found training for triathlons,swimming, reading in the park, working on craft projects, laughing or dancing down the street sporting a funky costume.
